Keyboard

An integrated keyboard puts all the written elements of level N5 Japanese at your fingertips. Hiragana, katakana, and 150 of the most common kanji are available directly, no western keyboards or transcriptions required. Audio feedback reinforces the learning of kana.

The brush option (last key in the right-most column) enables you to go beyond the N5 level and write any of the 2136 jōyō kanji (常用漢字) . The handwriting recognition system enforces the correct stroke-order and stroke-direction rules.
